I've been thinking of alternate systems of realities for some time now, as a device for my fiction. There are things I want to do that only seem to work on an alternate version of Earth. It certainly doesn't work for this version of Earth that we all live on.
I'm a freak on this planet, and I've always been one.
I don't really belong at all.
Anyway, but on an Alternate Earth, I might fit in just fine.
The idea is basically, that there are an infinite number of realities. This idea has been addressed for decades, so it is nothing new.
Earth Alternate Universe - 0, is, I suppose, the universe of where the Earth has never existed, or, never became a planet where there was life on it. After studying a lot of astronomy, I've concluded that the fact there is life at all on this planet is a pretty amazing thing. The moon, a dead world, actually had a lot to do with creating life on this planet because of its gravitational pull on the waters of the earth, which helped to make things happen.
Earth Alternate Universe - 1, is basically the Earth how it really is, as seen through my eyes, because that is how I know the world. As a fictional device, it is the home Earth, where all the things in my other alternate Earth realities can take place.
E.A.U. -2 is my version of medieval Earth. It is kind of a D & D world, kind of Middle Earth. I've imagined The Moon here to contain a series of dungeons that permeate the core.
E.A.U. - 3 is my Future Earth, where the whole Universe is populated, and there are ways to travel throughout the Universe partly because of The InterGalactic Transit System. There will also be another system that allows you to travel to alternate dimensions and realities
These four realities have been enough to keep me busy for a while, and any time I want to add in an additional A.U., I can do so at anytime, like throwing in E.A.U. -4, where everything is a cartoon.
A.U. - 5, could be where the whole universe is an online game.
You know, someday there might be 'EARTH ONLINE' which will be the one game to rule us all. The whole Earth will be online through this one virtual world. Downloading it will be a bitch, though, it may be standard equipment for computers of the future.
Basically, the whole Earth will be mapped out, and you will be able to go anywhere you want in this world. I don't know how it will work exactly, but your avatar will be able to do anything you can do in this world. It could be like Sims, like some other games, ...it will be the combination of everything.
A game like this could very well happen, and there will be a Moon expansion package, along with Mars eventually.
There will be different servers, and everyone on the web could be on it someday.
Who knows?
You will be able to access everything on your computer in game, by sitting your avatar down at his/her computer. You will always be able to be in game if you want.
I envision it as an incredible game, and who knows, maybe you could even make a living within the game.
What I like about the future is the sheer number of possibilities. I love it.
Time to take a break. I will write more about this subject soon, as it intrigues me.

To really write science fiction would be amazing. Or would it?
Mostly, as an adult now, I mostly think of science fiction as a cover up for what artists and writers really want to do, and that is porn writing and porn art, but that is not as easily sold to the public.
If you notice in the latest Star Trek movie, the reboot, the enemy ship pretty much looks like an @sshole.
Somebody told me recently that George Lucas was humorously critiqued for making so many of his alien's faces have vagina-like forms on them.
Haha, it's true.
It's true of a lot of sci-fi people.
It's all just part of 'The Great Sci-Fi Cover-Up'.
Yes, folks, it's all about sex, didn't you know?
Since Science Fiction is traditionally aimed at a teenage male audience, well, uh, there is only so much you can do and get away with. It sucks, but it is true.
In forty years of Star Trek, nobody has ever needed to go to the bathroom. No toilet has ever been shown.
There has never been an instance where somebody is on a mission, and they say, "Dang, I really have to pee real bad!"
"Not now, ensign, we must defeat this alien creature first."

Here is the new alien face type picture I got from 'Clone Wars Adventures' yesterday...
-,..,-
It's pretty dang cute. It really looks like a vampire monster alligator alien creature, if you use your imagination.

Anyway, I used to really enjoy Ray Bradbury. He had the best first name for Science Fiction. 'Ray' works really well for 'ray-gun' and 'laser-ray' and 'ray-beam'.
I know I'm supposed to be into Isaac Asimov, but I've never gotten through any of his books. Even watching him on youtube, I can only watch so much of him.

While I was outside, I was thinking about who my audience is. Probably anybody who is younger than me.
Probably anybody with similar interests.
Anybody who has a pulse, and is alive.
I am all over the place, but that is how life is most of the time.
Anyway, I was thinking about dancing, and one of my reasons for studying it. I wanted to fly. I wanted to jump into the air and look good doing it.
I used to enjoy going to dance classes. I liked all the girls. They never gave me the time of day. Just how it goes.
If they didn't want me when I was young, they certainly don't want me now, lol.
I do like older women now, anyhow. They can be charming.
It's all so much of a big deal now, dating when you are in your forties. There are way more connotations attached.
Women are looking for something more than just a good time. They want a home, and a life, and a credit card that somebody else puts money into. They want the guy to be at work, so that they can have a nice brunch with their friends. Sounds like a good life.
Anyhow, I don't know what to think about the whole Occupy SF thing. I am glad somebody is doing it, but I ain't going down there.
It doesn't sound like fun to go live in a tent.
It gets cold out there.
Also, that would really dampen my video game activity.

My older brother Mike is really into Science Fiction. He also likes politics.
I don't seem to be into Science Fiction like he is. Then again, he is a practicing Mormon, so somehow, between Sci-Fi, Politics, and Mormonism, he finds a balance that he is happy with.

Sports is a cover-up for sex in the same way Science Fiction is. It is all about bodies in motion, except they are placed in positions that are considered more productive than getting your rocks off.
I would disagree.
It would seem that sacking a beautiful big-breasted blond is way more important than catching a football.
That's just me, though.

After glorifying Jonathan Sanchez for so long after his no-hitter, they are getting rid of him, even though he was pivotal in their World Series win. Inconsistent pitching is the reason for the trade.
Every game, they would replay his no-hitter moment; now they toss him out like yesterday's garbage.
You gotta love sports.
I guess Barry Zito will return to the rotation. It would cost too much to trade him.
I don't know what is going on with Barry. Maybe he gets tired quicker now that he is older.
His concentration seems to waver.
Maybe his guitar playing is distracting.
Maybe he should concentrate on baseball and not music.
Maybe it isn't a good mix.
What would he rather do?
Be a great pitcher, or be half-good as a musician?
Hard to do both.
The truth is, that most talented people are good at multiple things.
Einstein used to play violin, and he was horrible at it.
It used to be impressive that somebody could play the violin. Now nobody cares. They don't even care if you can play the guitar anymore.
A lot of people only care if you can spin records at a party.
It's kind of a lame instrument for retards, but the kids seem to like it.
Basically, they are playing content from a third-party. No matter how they mix it, or scratch on top of it, guess what? They don't own that music.
Sorry, dj's, but I just hardly care.
I guess it is kind of fun to see you bop around and get into the groove when you play records, but sometimes you guys just over-do it. You are playing records on a turntable for Christ's sake, you no-talent f**k.

Charming to be in the cafe. Nadjat, the cafe lady, is always on top of her game. It is nice to see.
She was on vacation for six days.
Everybody was happy when she returned.

Nice to just write as many words on a blog as you can, to fill up space. It's not as if I expect anyone to visit this entry for some time, except for some bot from Russia.
I don't know exactly what goes on, but automated bots seem to peruse blogs. Maybe the bots look for things that they can translate into different languages.
For all I know, I may have readers in other countries.
I just don't know for sure if they are bots or people.
All I see is the map where I get hits, and the counter which shows the number.
I don't know if they are human or not.
If that isn't science fiction come true, I don't know what is.

Real Life is Science Fiction
"It's true," he said to some guy. "Real life is science fiction."
"Oh yeah?" the guy responded. "Why is that?"
"Well, the guy with tattoos on his face with the nasal voice that looks like Curly from The Three Stooges was just on his cell phone for ten minutes, right?"
"Yes, continue."
"Well, cell phone technology used to be a thing only imagined in Star Trek: The Original Series, and the fact that it is some freak looking creature with mascara and a tattoo line around his man lips....well, basically, he looks like an alien communicating with some other fag alien.
I wonder if the alien he is talking to is also in a room filled with people annoying everyone around him with his one-sided conversation. So, one phone call on both ends combined could be annoying up to thirty people.
Amazing when you think about it."
"Yeah, you're right," said the guy. "The whole world is bizarre. It's like, it's the future now, and we have all this technology, but instead you have some freak looking guy talking in a cafe about a person who steals mozzarella cheese packets from the pizza place. It's so god damn petty."

Clone Wars Adventures: My Asteroid Lot
So, I have a new Asteroid Lot on Clone Wars Adventures. It looks like it could be a place where aliens could attack. It's pretty cool. It's all encased within an energy dome. They have new asteroid furniture that can be bought with Republic Credits, so members or non-members can buy it.
This will be a good place to shoot videos, especially with some of the ideas I am having to shoot videos from video games.
Of course, I will not have the rights to anything I film from a video game, but it will be good practice for me until I can build my own miniature sets.
There is a Gumby episode available where he goes to The Moon. It is pretty good. It is a precursor to the Wallace & Gromit short film where they also go to The Moon.
Moon imagery and poems written about The Moon are usually pretty cool.
The Moon still holds a lot of power over us, both in imagery and with the slight gravitational pull it has on all of us.
The dead world of The Moon, and its pull on The Earth helped to accelerate life processes on this world.
So we all owe one to The Moon.
Lunacy is often associated with The Moon. 'Lunar' and 'Lunacy' has the same Latin base of 'lun'.
So, anyway, my new asteroid base in this video game is similar to how it might be on the moon, or on an asteroid.
Unfortunately, the game doesn't allow you to explore the entire asteroid, and that is too bad.
'Dark Side of The Moon' and the video game 'Asteroids' also come to mind. Also, Haley's Comet, and 2001: A Space Odyssey and it's sequel 2010.
Well, I hoped you enjoyed this entry if you are not some bot from Russia that scans blogs.

David's Sci-Fi Portal
Hi, I came up with this idea all on my own today. It will be my blog about science fiction. I used to love reading StarLog when I was a kid. It was a great magazine. I miss it.
Anyway, I grew up really liking the genre of science fiction. It always provided me with an escape...when it was good.
I started to realize that some science fiction is...uh...really bad.
But now that I'm a kid again at the age of 43, I think I can start looking at everything more objectively, so we'll see what happens.
Come along for the ride if you want. This will be a rated G - rated PG 13 kind of blog, because of course, I want it to retain its ability to be monetized.
I am Dirk Wampaflash on Clone Wars Adventures, so if you want to get on that game with me, that is fine with me. I have about 3000 friends on that game now, but I do my best to talk to everyone I can.
I just bought the Asteroid lot on CWA today, and it is really nice. It is a really cool lot. What I like about it is it reminded me of old outer space exploration illustrations I used to look at. The lot has that kind of magic going for it.
Ok, see you next time, and thanks for visiting the blog, and maybe reading it. Every hit is appreciated. Bonus points if you leave a comment.
