The Future of The Homeless
The future is here. It has arrived. It is 2013.
Imagine the date is December 17, 1978. One would think the homeless problem would have been solved in forty years.
Imagine the year 2053, with half the population homeless. That is what I think will happen. In any case, it might be a good movie, about people without homes fighting the people with homes. It could be a whole war.
The future hasn't turned out to be quite like what we would have thought. We haven't even colonized Mars yet.

A Couple of Recommendations
Anybody truly concerned with science fiction, besides reading 'Frankenstein' by Mary Shelly, should really investigate the works of Edgar Allan Poe. You'll be glad you did.
Also, if you are into science fiction films, look at 'Flash Gordon' on youtube. Both 'Star Trek' and 'Star Wars' was influenced by Flash Gordon.
I plan to rewatch every Flash Gordon episode, and take pictures of things that were used in later films.
An example is the text in perspective that Star Wars used forty years later.

Here's a photo of Kirk.
Anyway, here are two photos of the Scotty action figure with Scotties Tissue.
Pretty Funny, huh?
I saw this tissue in the store, and I had to buy it just so I could pose the doll with the logo. How could I resist?
It was just too perfect.
I normally don't like to use the word 'perfect', because nothing is. But this is pretty darn close.

R.Crumb's comic book page of Philip K. Dick.
Pretty cool, huh?
Now that I know more about Philip K. Dick, this page makes more sense to me than it did years ago.
Philip K. Dick is most famous for writing "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" which became the basis for the 'Blade Runner' movie.
Instead of giving up the rights to the original story, and have the movie novelized, he took $35,000 instead of the $200,000 they offered him.
He thought the original story should remain, and he was right.
I am pretty sure there are good wikipedia articles on both Philip K. Dick and R. Crumb. I have not read those in a long time. Maybe it is time for another look.
Anyway, have a nice day, and keep your brain active.

Here is an evil Mr. Spock T-Shirt. As you can see, it has the divided red and blue background, just like the famous Obama picture.
The 'Mirror Mirror' episode of Star Trek was always one of our favorites growing up.
Keep in mind that Time Magazine years ago had a cover with a black background, with one word on it: EVIL.
Does 'evil' really exist? I think it does, in the hearts and minds of some people. They only behave badly because they don't know any better, or they didn't get a good meal that day.
As far as 'Evil' coming from a sentient being known as 'Satan' or 'The Devil', I think that is ridiculous. It is just a fairy tale made up designed to scare people, so that the people in power can have 'control'.
Meanwhile, lots of business people and corporations are up to some pretty evil sh*t, not to mention lots of governments in the world including the U.S.A.
Some would say the U.S. Government is the most evil on Earth. That could be true. Sorry, but I am not the only one who thinks this.
There aren't enough people who want to do good in the world, and that is a problem.
